The Corona pandemic deprives Marrakesh of hosting a global tourism conference in 2020!

The British Association of Travel Agencies will, by default, hold its annual conference on October 14, on "restoring confidence in travel", and due to the Covid-19 epidemic, its duration has been reduced from three to one day.

The event, which was to be hosted by the city of Marrakech, was transferred to the United Kingdom and will be hosted by private virtual studios in London to record its sessions, while the organizers confirmed that the Red City will host the conference in 2021.

According to the organizers, the program of the 2020 conference will be divided into three parts, the first of which is under the title "Our World, Our Industry and Your Business", in which the British government's strategies are analyzed to restore confidence in travel and how Britain's exit from the European Union will affect the sector.

The second part deals with travel in the era of COVID 19, and the third axis focuses on sustainability, diversity, inclusiveness, digital transformation, and new ways of working.

Gloria Guevara, President, and Director-General of the World Travel and Tourism Council is expected to take the floor at the conference. Working sessions, specialized workshops, and networking opportunities will be held through a virtual portal with the participation of Moroccan officials, while attendees can request private meetings with other participants.
